Ceridian Canada: At Ceridian Canada, Corporate Social Responsibility is as simple as it sounds — it means that they account for all areas of business life and act in an ethical, responsible manner. They recognize the value of social responsibility and the importance of integrity as employees, as a business, and as members of their respective communities. They believe that organizations such as theirs have a responsibility to go above and beyond minimum legal requirements, and to integrate socially responsible behaviour into their everyday practices.

Harlequin More Than Words aims to enhance the well-being of women. Their goals are to:

• Raise awareness about worthy causes that are of concern to women
• Provide financial assistance to these important charities
• Engage employees, authors and readers and the general public in worthy causes and provide opportunities for them to make a difference

A collection of short stories inspired by their lives will be written by a selection of our most acclaimed authors. These stories will be published and shared with our readers, with proceeds from the book being reinvested in Harlequin’s charitable initiatives.

The Harlequin More Than Words program is responsible for the administration of Harlequin Enterprises Ltd.’s philanthropic initiatives dedicated to the well-being of women.

IBM Canada is a company that defines itself by fundamental values—not by products, technologies or leaders. Today, shared values are more essential than ever before—for enterprises, for individuals and for the globally integrating society of the 21st century. In 2003, IBMers worldwide came together to renew and define our core values, which now serve as the foundation of IBM’s culture and brand, and the guide for each IBMer’s work, decisions and relationships.
When a business takes a systemic view of the world—when you see the economy, society and physical environment as a complex, global system—it opens up new ways of working with all your constituencies—communities, clients and individuals—in ways that matter:
* Energy
* Food
* Healthcare
* Education
* Water
* Employment
* Urbanization
